Council of Catholic Women Ministry
Council of Catholic Women (CCW) Ministry is a working organization living out Blessed Sacrament mission as Disciples of Christ striving to be a community of caring people providing good works. The CCW uses their time, stewardship and talent to support and empower its members. CCW truly enriches a woman’s life and provides an opportunity to become a Woman of the Eucharist.
Through its major fund raising, CCW provides the following services: Annual Bazaar (November), Giving Tree (Christmas), pie making and sales, provides gifts to First Communicants, Confirmation and Graduate students, Scholarships for qualified senior graduates of Blessed Sacrament, supports the altar needs. Also the Ministry provides assistance with funeral luncheons, Knights of Columbus annual Fish Fry with desserts, assists with meals for Lent and Advent programs, gives additional financial support where necessary.
CCW has three Circles, Our Lady of Good Counsel, Queen of Peace and Most Holy Rosary. There are at least 20 active members in each Circle. Each Circle has its own Chairperson to oversee that Circle. The Chair’s responsibility is to attend monthly board meetings and relay information to the respective Circle. The current circles’ membership are the more active women. However, all women of the parish are members of the CCW.
